Neck Pain Treatment in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg with Dry Needling & Physiotherapy
Individual assessment and targeted treatment – for acute and recurring neck pain.
Neck pain: when daily life becomes a burden
Waking up and barely being able to turn your head. The familiar tension between your shoulders after a long day at the desk. A dull pressure that spreads to the back of your head and simply won't ease in the evening. Neck pain (Nackenschmerzen / niskakipu / nekpijn) is common – and it makes itself felt exactly where it matters most: at the computer, while driving, during sport, at night in bed.
In my practice I look not just at the point of pain, but at the interplay of muscles, joints, posture, daily life and load. I want to assess your complaints individually – without promises I cannot keep, but with a clear plan.
Please seek medical assessment if you experience sudden loss of strength or sensation, radiation into the arm or hand with numbness, fever, severe dizziness, visual disturbances or after an accident.
How neck pain can present
Neck pain has many faces:
- Stiffness and restricted mobility – often in the morning or after prolonged sitting
- Pressure or pulling sensation in the neck-shoulder area
- Tension in the trapezius, neck extensors or chest muscles
- Headaches that originate from the neck
- Radiation to the shoulder blade, shoulder or arm – requiring individual assessment
- Complaints that worsen with stress, unusual training or long periods of sitting
How I can help
I take time to understand your story: since when, how did it start, what makes it better or worse? This is followed by a targeted physical examination – mobility, muscle tension, functional connections, possible triggers in your daily life.
The assessment leads to an individual plan. Depending on the situation, this can include Dry Needling at myofascial trigger points in the neck-shoulder area, manual techniques to relieve joints and soft tissue, or targeted exercises that genuinely fit into your daily routine – not 100 exercises, but the right ones. I also look at your workstation, sleep position and possible stress factors: neck pain is rarely just about posture; it is often also about too little variation and too little recovery.
What we can work towards together: breaking pain and tension cycles, improving mobility, gradually rebuilding load capacity.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly can it improve?
This is very individual. Some people feel relief after the first session, others need several appointments and above all an active build-up. I discuss realistic expectations with you – and measure progress by what should be possible in daily life again.
Is dry needling painful?
It can be briefly uncomfortable – for example during a local twitch at the trigger point. In general it is well tolerable. I work in a graduated way and follow your feedback.
Do I need a prescription?
At a Heilpraktiker practice, generally not. If medical assessment would be useful, I will mention it openly.
Can I continue with sport?
That depends on the findings. Adapted movement is often helpful. I will give you a clear picture of how to reduce, vary or gradually increase your training.
What can I do for myself right now?
Short movement breaks, gentle mobilisation, warmth if comfortable, regular pauses. What specifically suits you is something we will work out together at the appointment.
